Healthcare & Hospitals
M-Series™ Hybrid 2″, MERV 13–16 with Appendix-J performance, the only line specified for medical treatment rooms.
Why ECOairflow fits here
For healthcare HVAC, filtration must hold up power-on, power-off, and under the Appendix J protocol. ECOairflow's M-Series™ Hybrid 2″ pairs a mechanical collector with the patented EPF core in a 2″ cabinet, and is offered in MERV 13 through MERV 16 configurations to match the room class.
- Appendix-J protocol assured, power-on, power-off, ASHRAE 52.2
- MERV 13, 14, 15 or 16, specified at order
- UL2998 Zero Ozone, critical for treatment-room HVAC
- Captures aerosolised viruses, bacteria and most pathogens
What we typically spec for healthcare & hospitals
Each of these is built around the same patented EPF core, they differ in cabinet depth, MERV target and pad geometry.
- M-Series™ Hybrid 2″ (MERV 13–16, Appendix-J certified)
Typical applications in this building type
Room class drives the filtration specification in a healthcare building. These are the areas where the M-Series™ Hybrid is typically specified.
Treatment & procedure rooms
Appendix-J assured performance, power-on and power-off, tested to ASHRAE 52.2.
Wards, corridors & waiting areas
Continuously occupied space where the air handler runs around the clock.
Laboratories & diagnostics
Controlled environments specified against ASHRAE 170 / CSA Z317.2.
Central plant & AHUs
Banks of 2″ units daisy-chained from a single low-voltage feed.
Why this line is the one specified for clinical environments.
Fan energy stays flat
Open glass-fibre mesh loads far more slowly than pleated media, so static pressure, and the fan power that follows it, stays low across the whole service interval instead of climbing week over week.
One consumable, not a whole filter
The aluminum frame is permanent. Only the media pad is replaced, which changes what maintenance orders, stores and disposes of.
Certified for occupied space
ETL Listed, UL2998 Zero Ozone, UL867 and CSA, zero ozone and zero formaldehyde in service.
Sized to the cabinet you have
All standard sizes plus custom sizes built to order, so the unit fits the air handler already installed.
